Ukraine and Russia have agreed on the recent exchange of 200 prisoners of war, Turkish President Recep Erdogan told PBS television. The statement was made after Erdogan's meeting in Uzbekistan with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The Turkish president added that he still hoped he would be able to arrange a personal meeting between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Ukrainian forces are fiercely attacking the the city of Liman, which is a logistics hub in the Luhansk region, the website lenta.ru reported, quoting Russian forces in the area. About 70% of the Russian garrison in Svatovo in the Luhansk region was destroyed, the Ukrainian General Staff announced. Svatovo is the main stronghold of the Russian defense east of the Oskol River.

It was also reported that 50 units of Russian military equipment were destroyed in Novoaidar. The Ukrainian Southern Command said it had sunk a barge with Russian military personnel and equipment in the Dnieper River. "Radio Liberty" showed satellite photos of the Russian army building a new bridge over the Dnieper near Novaya Kakhovka. Railway wagons were submerged in the river, on which an embankment was made, in order to renew the supply of food and ammunition to Kherson.
