Bulgaria reports 801 new Covid-19 infections in past day, a positivity rate of 15%

801 is the number of new Covid-19 infections out of 5,344 tests performed in the country in the past day, 49 up on the previous day. The positivity rate stands at 14.98%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The highest number of new infections is in Sofia-city - 252, followed by Plovdiv with 69. With 3 new cases in each town, Kurdzhali and Smolyan have reported the lowest number of new cases in the past 24 hours.

602 patients are being treated in hospital, 44 of them in intensive care.

Four patients have died in the past day, 563 are reported as recovered.

1,465 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours.
