“The winter tourist season will be just as successful as the summer season. We expect a return of British tourists, and many others who had disappeared during the pandemic,” said Rumen Draganov from the Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism for Bloomberg TV Bulgaria. In his words ski resorts, spa hotels, cities with historical landmarks in the country will be visited by around 1.2 million guests from abroad this winter.

After the successful summer season, the industry believes that statistics are approaching pre-pandemic levels. In the June-August period 2.2 million foreign tourists visited the country, a 50% increase compared to the same period of 2021.
