About 200 people gathered in front of the building of the Sofia Municipality in a protest calling for the resignation of Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, BNR reporter Nadezhda Nikolova informed. The participants say they are against the poor quality repairs in the capital city, the over-construction, the dirty air and the corrupt practices through which "the city is being destroyed".

"Save Sofia" are organizers of the protest. "It is high time we got rid of low-quality projects and outrageous stealing and spending of public resources,” Stefan Spasov of "Save Sofia" organization said.

Before the protest, the "Vazrazhdane" party held a rally in support of the Sofia administration.
