After its success in Varna, Razgrad, Samokov, Bansko and the village of Lipen, the exhibition “Bulgarian embroidery patterns from the end of the 18th to the mid-20th century” will be presented at the Old Dobrich ethnographic complex in the town.

The exposition features more than 350 embroidery patterns, provided by individual and collective artists from different parts of Bulgaria, as well as Bulgarian communities abroad – Bessarabia (Ukraine and Moldova), Taurica, Banat and Bulgarian expats in the US, Spain and Italy. The idea of the travelling exhibition is to travel across all ethnographic regions which have sent authentic Bulgarian embroidery. And the idea is to create a catalogue of authentic embroidery from different parts of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian communities in other countries.

The event also features a show programme with the participation of the Bulgarian participant in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 and 2013 Elitsa Todorova.
