The Hague's opposition to Bulgaria's entry into Schengen does not change our intentions, Deputy Minister Kodzhabashev says

The resistance of the Netherlands against the admission of Bulgaria to the Schengen zone does not change the intentions of our country. This was what Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostadin Kodzhabashev said. According to him, the resolution of the Dutch Parliament was of a recommendatory nature. "We continue the dialogue at all levels, including with representatives of the Netherlands, so that we can succeed with the set goal of the Council of the European Union unanimously supporting the membership of Bulgaria and Romania in Schengen," Kodzhabashev added.

Earlier this month, the Dutch parliament passed a resolution saying the country should not vote for the admission of Romania and Bulgaria to Schengen.
