A permanent working group in cooperation with Turkey will be dealing with problems related to the protection of the border. Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev told the MPs in the National Assembly that Bulgaria was in constant contact with neighboring Turkey and that all measures have been taken to protect both the border and the officers.
According to Demerdzhiev, the migration pressure towards Bulgaria has been rising, but the Bulgarian border authorities are handling the situation very well.
