Tenth Night is the theme of this year's Night of Theatres

The tenth Night of Theatres begins… this morning. The European initiative in Bulgaria is hashtagged #ПрезДеветНощиВдесетата (Nine nights till the tenth), as this is the tenth edition of the festival. The programme includes more than 100 shows to be performed in theatres in 13 cities (Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse, Stara Zagora, Blagoevgrad, Pleven, Shumen, Simitli, Kardzhali, Targovishte, Pazardzhik.)

The Night of Theatres was pre-launched last night in Plovdiv with the latest performance of the Plovdiv Drama Theatre "Vampire" by Anton Strashimirov. In most places, however, the event starts today with morning performances and workshops for children. For the first time, the Ivan Vazov National Theatre will present a 12-hour programme on all its stages. The Sofia Opera and Ballet will open its doors for a backstage tour, while the educational theatres of NATFA, Sofia University and New Bulgarian University will present their latest productions at free admission.

The International Triennial of the Stage Poster will feature a number of intriguing exhibitions at the Polish Cultural Institute, Square 500, Gallery 88 and the Marble Foyer of the National Palace of Culture.
