The economic development of the Black Sea region has been disrupted due to Russia's aggressive actions and the war in Ukraine, President Rumen Radev said. Addressing the conference: 'The Black Sea: the Closer Middle East' Radev called on Bulgaria to commit to strengthening peace and security in the Black Sea region.

"The frozen conflicts in Georgia, Transnistria, Nagorno-Karabakh could at some point lead to severe consequences for the region if we do not tackle the security problems," the President said.

"At all meetings and forums at the highest level, I have always been among those who have spoken out for an immediate end to the war in Ukraine and for a diplomatic solution to the conflict," the President added.
