The Ukrainian authorities began to evacuate the remaining residents of Kherson after the withdrawal of Russian troops, BTA informed. The city has come back under the control of Kyiv, after months of Russian occupation. Kherson's infrastructure was destroyed to such an extent that the Ukrainian authorities recommended that citizens leave the city temporarily. The Russian forces, which have deployed on the opposite bank of the Dnieper River, continue shooting with artillery against the city.
Following the ongoing Russian attacks against Ukraine's power grid, six million households in Ukraine are currently without electric power. The Ukrainian authorities in Kherson reported new civilian casualties after the massive shelling against the city yesterday – 10 dead and more than 54 wounded.
