Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostadin Kodzhabashev expressed Bulgaria's unwavering support for the Ukrainian people during his speech at the "Solidarity with the Ukrainian People" Conference in Paris, the ministry reported. Bulgaria has provided aid to Ukraine totaling 224 million euros and 146,000 Ukrainian refugees have been registered for temporary protection in the country since the beginning of Russian aggression. 46 countries and over 30 international organizations participated in the conference.

However, Eurobarometer reports that the weakest support for EU decisions to help Ukraine is seen in Bulgaria and Greece. The average EU level of support is 74%, while in Sweden it is 97%. About 48 percent of Bulgarians and Greeks agree with this policy, according to statistics.
