The Parliament adopted at first reading a bill banning the export of oil and petroleum products originating in Russia, which are exempt from the price cap. All the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and Revival MPs voted against. Four MPs abstained.

"This anti-Bulgarian decision will complicate our energy balance and other balances," said Rumen Gechev of the BSP. "The application of sanctions should be controlled by us and not allow privileged treatment due to derogation of certain economic entities, which will become a bonus for them," objected Petar Chobanov on behalf of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.
