Bulgaria reports 53 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death in past day

53 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 3,004 tests performed in the country in the past day, 42 down from the previous day. The positivity rate stands at 1.76%, versus 2.5% the day before, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The number of active cases in the country is down by 89 to 3,096.

21 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours, 13 or 61.9% of them are not vaccinated. The number of patients being treated in hospital is also down – by 22 to 290, of them 38 are in intensive care.

One person with established coronavirus infection has died in the past 24 hours, they were not vaccinated. 151 is the number of recoveries reported.

121 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past day.
