"Bulgaria is a consistent supporter of Ukraine's European perspective and was among the first member states of the European Union to support the accelerated political decision for granting Ukraine the status of a candidate member of the EU," the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on their Facebook page.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided nearly 400,000 euros through its Development Assistance Program and 110,000 euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine, BTA recalls. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reports that Bulgaria has allocated a total of over 240 million euros for humanitarian and other aid to Ukraine.
