Nearly 1 million euros have been raised in Bulgaria from donations in the bank account opened to help the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey last month, the Turkish television CNN-Turk reported, quoted by BTA.

The Turkish TV channel presents a report on the financial aid collected in various European countries for the areas of Turkey destroyed by the February 6 earthquakes.

Germany, for example, where a large Turkish minority lives, has allocated 41 million euros to Turkey and 67 million euros to Syria.

The UK has provided more than 141 million euros to both countries.

The government of the Netherlands is providing financial aid of 20 million euros to Turkey and Syria - besides, from donation campaigns, more than 152 million euros have been collected, and local authorities have given more than 11 million euros.
