Analyzes and computer simulations on the risks of being attacked in an event of a possible Russia-NATO conflict, have been carried out, Bulgarian Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov has told Nova TV. According to him, there is no direct threat to Bulgaria from the conflict in Ukraine, and Russia is not expected to use nuclear weapons against Kyiv. "The war will last long and it will be a war of attrition. This is Russia's strategy at the moment," the minister said.

Minister Stoyanov once again reiterated that Bulgarian soldiers would not be sent to Ukraine and pointed out that only the parliament can make such a decision. He did not answer the question whether Bulgaria should arrest Russian President Vladimir Putin if he entered the country's territory, as ordered by the ICC in The Hague.
