Bulgaria's Minister of Culture Krastyu Krastev has presented prominent actor John Malkovich with a honorary plaque for Contribution to the Development of Culture.

This happened at the Festival and Congress Center in Varna after the performance of The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a Serial Killer with the participation of the world-famous actor.

This is Malkovich's second performance in Bulgaria. In February this year, together with the Lithuanian actress Ingeborga Dapkunaite, he delighted the Bulgarian audience with the play In the Solitude of Cotton Fields, which was performed at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in Sofia.
An exhibition with 61 photographs by the American photographer Sandro Miller, in which Malkovich is reincarnated in the images of famous personalities, was also opened in the National Gallery.
The award is presented to John Malkovich not only for his contribution to the development of culture, but also for the development of international cultural cooperation, the ministry reports.
