On September 16, a fertility festival will be held in Shabla on Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast. Representatives of all villages of the municipality will show the fruits of their labor and nature in Shabla's park.

The program includes contests for the largest vegetables, best arranged stand, richest stand, tastiest local and national dishes and much more. The exhibition has a competitive nature and there are prizes for the winners.

"The year itself was not so fertile because of the lack of rainfall", commented the mayor of Shabla Mariyan Zhechev to BNR. "It was raining all over Bulgaria, but there were no rainfalls here. And considering this, some of the crops that are traditionally grown do not have the best yields, but the farmers say - "There are no diseases in a dry year". So we are optimistic," says Mariyan Zhechev.

For the fertility festival, various folklore performers are arriving in the town, a rich folklore program is planned. There will be a review of folk costumes and a traditional method of crushing grapes will be demonstrated.
