GERB is beginning a detailed analysis not only of the election results, but also of whether it should remain part of the ruling coalition.

"The issue today is not whether to have a coalition agreement, but whether this government has a chance to work," GERB deputy chairman Tomislav Donchev said at a briefing.
The party is currently conducting a sector-by-sector review of the cabinet's management. It accuses the government of failing to keep some of its promises. GERB leader Boyko Borissov urged Finance Minister Assen Vassilev to observe financial discipline. He insisted that no more debt be taken on. Instead, important infrastructure projects should be included in next year's budget.
