Prime Minister Denkov:

Over 1,000 villages left without electricity, over a hundred people rescued from the snow

"There is no electricity supply in more than 1,000 settlements. There is no way to prevent this in the time frame in which it is possible to react at the moment", said Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov at a briefing after an extraordinary meeting with ministers and heads of agencies, BNR reporter Dobromir Videv informed. According to the Prime Minister, the situation throughout the country is serious, there are hundreds of power supply failures, stuck trucks, cars, trapped people.

Nikolai Denkov reported that more than a hundred people were freed from the snow traps during the night thanks to the efforts of all the institutions. He thanked the Fire Safety Department, the Road Infrastructure Agency, and the military.

Clearing of the roads continues but there are several areas where this is very difficult because the snowfall continues, accompanied by strong winds, the Prime Minister also said.
