The awards from the 9th International Graphics Triennial in Sofia were handed out

Taichi Kodama from Japan is the winner of the grand prize at the 9th edition of the International Triennial of Graphic Arts in Sofia. The laureates were announced at a ceremony in the gallery of the Union of Bulgarian Artists

Two equal prizes were awarded to Victor Manuel Hernandez of Mexico and Piotr Jurek of Poland. 

The young author prize went to Miriam Gesalaga from Spain, and the CIEC Foundation, Spain, award went to Ewelina Kolakowska from Poland. 

At the invitation of the triennial, Mariana Smith from the USA, Michael Kempson from Australia, David Arteagoitia and Pedro Galilea from Spain arrived in Sofia. They are curators of the accompanying exhibitions and members of the international jury. 

The accompanying program of the triennial includes lectures and demonstrations, as well as the publication of a complete bilingual catalog, which will be presented in January, reports BTA.
