The exhibition "Tourism of Vitosha - from the first steps to today" attracts the attention of the citizens and guest of the capital. One can see the names of the first tourists who conquered Vitosha, their equipment and routes and many other interesting exhibits. The temporary exhibition is arranged in the Regional History Museum - Sofia.

The history of the tourist movement started with the post-liberation idea of intellectuals in Sofia for the mountains as a place for walks and inspiration. The visual narrative in the exhibition traces the development of tourism and the transformation of Vitosha into a modern four-season tourist destination.

The retrospective of Vitosha's past also includes tourist clothing, accessories for mountain hikes, samples of documents, insignia, certificates and others. The exhibition includes information about the declaration of Vitosha as a natural park by a decree of Tsar Boris III in 1934. There are also data on the chronology of building the huts, shelters, hotels, drinking fountains, roads and markings. The documentary part also includes information about the lift facilities, as well as about the ski slopes of Vitosha.
