Parliament bans gambling ads in media

Without debate and unanimously, MPs adopted amendments to the Gambling Act banning gambling advertising in the media. The only exception is the broadcast of the draws of the state-owned Bulgarian Sports Totalisator, under the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Gambling halls will be prohibited in small settlements of up to 10 000 inhabitants, with the exception of border towns and resorts. Online betting will be restricted by regulation.
