Cabinet approves three strategic energy projects

At today’s sitting, the Council of Ministers approved the signing of three important strategic documents of cooperation in the sphere of energy, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports, quoting caretaker Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov. The first document concerns cooperation between Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea in promoting cooperation in nuclear energy, renewable energy sources and natural gas. Minister Malinov spoke about the National Assembly decision by force of which the company Hyundai is to implement the project for the construction reactors 7 and 8 at the Kozloduy NPP.  The second document is a joint declaration by the minister of economy, trade and industry of Japan for promoting cooperation in the sphere of energy between the two countries with a focus on natural gas and nuclear energy, as well as hydro energy and especially the Chaira Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant. The third document is a joint declaration for deepening relations between Bulgaria and Germany in renewable energy sources, hydrogen, as well as the creation of green corridors for the transfer of energy generated from renewable sources.
