The possibilities for anti-corruption training for Bulgarian prosecutors, investigators and financial intelligence officers was discussed at a working meeting between Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov and US lawyers Dr. Kevin Carroll and Dr. Remi Gerbay. The two experts are in Bulgaria to participate in the international conference "Transnational Investments in a Changing World: Sanctions, Screening and Dispute Resolution", organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Sarafov pointed out the need to increase the capacity of Bulgarian institutions in the fight against cross-border crime. In this regard, the possibility of American experts conducting training for Bulgarian magistrates and representatives of special services on the mechanisms for tracking financial assets, anti-corruption, the imposition of sanctions, the prevention of money laundering and the implementation of screening of foreign investments was discussed.
