Plovdiv Airport will offer flights to Birmingham for the upcoming winter tourist season. The first flight is scheduled for November 2. Currently, there are regular flights to Plovdiv from London and Manchester.

During the winter season, in addition to the regular lines, there will be a charter flight to Belfast, the executive director of Plovdiv Airport Doychin Angelov said. He pointed out that the addition of new destinations depends largely on the Airport Development Fund, which includes municipalities and organizations from the South-Central region.

A new charter flight with route Bucharest - Plovdiv - Prague and back will also start operating. The line opens under a contract of the Pamporovo resort with tour operators and a Romanian airline. It will make it possible to launch regular flights to these cities in the future, Angelov added, quoted by BTA.
