A meeting of representatives from four clubs of the Macedonian Patriotic Organization (MPO) in the USA and Canada, took place in Indianapolis. The meeting included the clubs of "Pirin" (Chicago), "Bistrica" (Cincinnati), "Todor Aleksandrov" (Youngstown) and "Damyan Gruev" (Indianapolis). This was announced by the Consul General of Bulgaria in Chicago, Svetoslav Stankov, on his Facebook profile.

The event took place in the Bulgarian Orthodox Church "St. Stephen", built in 1915 by Macedonian Bulgarians. The meeting is another proof that the Bulgarian diaspora keeps the covenant of its ancestors and passes it on to the next generations, Stankov wrote. "I am happy that I was able to present the certificates for successfully passed exam in the Bulgarian language (Seal of Biliteracy) to four students from the Sunday school to the church," the Bulgarian consul general in Chicago announced, BTA reports.
