56% of Bulgarians want the parliament to elect a cabinet, even at the cost of compromises

56% of Bulgarians prefer the new 51st National Assembly to form a government, even if this is at the cost of compromises, indicate data of a national representative survey conducted by the polling agency "Gallup International" for the "Referendum" talk show on BNT. The survey was conducted between October 31 and November 8, 2024, among 806 adults using the "face-to-face" method with tablets. Just over one-fifth (22%) of respondents express a desire for new parliamentary elections. Another 22% are undecided.

The desire to form a government is strongest among the supporters of GERB-SDS (82%), We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (69%), DPS-New Beginning (58%) and the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (55%). 50% of the supporters of There is Such a People (ITN), 47% of the supporters of MECH and 42% of the supporters of BSP are in favour of the formation of a government. 51% of the supporters of Vazrazhdane want new elections while 35% support the formation of a cabinet.
