With a growth of 2.2 percent, Bulgaria is among the top 6 countries in the EU, Caretaker Minister of Economy Petko Nikolov reported during the ceremony of presenting the annual awards of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov pointed out that Bulgarian business and foreign investors want political stability, a working government and parliament that can make long-term commitments. Speaking to BGNES, Simeonov predicted that in 2025, Bulgarian business would face difficulties as negative influences from Western Europe and especially Germany are starting to be felt in the country.

In the "Foreign Ambassador" category, the award was presented to Zakia El Midaoui - Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco and doyen of the diplomatic corps in Bulgaria. In the "Trade Representative" category, the award went to Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sofia, Kong Lingyu.
