Rain and snow expected on Christmas Day

On Wednesday, cold air will invade the country from the north-northeast. It will be cloudy. Rain is in the forecast for almost all Bulgarian regions. There will be significant precipitation in some places. It will snow in the Pre-Balkans and on higher ground. The lowest temperatures will range from minus 1°C in the valleys of Western Bulgaria to 8°-10°C along the Black Sea coast. The maximum temperatures will be between 2°C and 7°C.

In the mountains, it will be cloudy and foggy with snow showers. There will be strong easterly and northeasterly winds. Strong winds will blow from the east-northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 0°C, at 2,000 meters – around minus 3°C.

It will be cloudy and rainy along the Black Sea coast. There will be strong northeasterly winds. Daytime highs will range between 10°C and 12°C. The seawater temperature is 10°C-11°C. Sea state 4-5.
