The students from St. Patriarch Euthimius High School in Plovdiv snatched five silver and one bronze medals at the 8th Mathematics Competition in Beijing. The Bulgarians were among the youngest contestants and had had only one month to train for the race. Part of the problems they had to solve included material from upper grades but still they did quite well. The team of 7th graders (aged 13-14) was 6-strong – five boys and a girl.
