For a four-member family living in the capital city of Sofia the sum rises to 1636 euros. For the past year, the cost of living for a family member has risen by 46.5 euros.
The average wage in the country covers 72 percent of the cost of living of a person. Only 30% of Bulgarians receive average or higher-than-average salary.
