Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Rumen Porozhanov has opened the first China-Bulgaria Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Zone under the framework of the 16 + 1 initiative with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

Its pilot introduction will take place at the Agricultural University Plovdiv. Part of it includes a demonstration center where students will be trained to conclude actual business deals with China. The demonstration zone is a result of talks between Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang, which took place in Sofia in the past year.
