Minister of Culture Boil Banov took part in a video conference of the ministers of culture of the UNESCO member countries discussing each country’s vision of cultural development in the conditions of the Covid-19 crisis.
Minister Banov pointed out that culture is among the priorities of Bulgaria’s national policy and presented the measures taken by the Bulgarian government in the sector. These measures include: providing financing to state cultural institutes for the duration of the state of emergency, and up to 6 months afterwards, three minimum salaries and social security coverage for the free artists affected most badly, options for interest-free crediting of projects.
