Competitors from 27 countries participate at Tryavna Ultra mountain marathon

840 participants from 27 countries stand at the start of the mountain ultramarathon "Tryavna Ultra". The competition is held for the sixth year in the heart of Stara Planina Mountain. The start and finish are on the square in the picturesque town of Tryavna. At 5 pm the participants in the longest distance -141 km - started their participation, which will cross the ridge of the Balkans twice and will pass through Shipka and Buzludzha peaks. After a while, the participants in the 100-kilometer distance will start their run.
On Saturday morning are the starts of 3, 23, 42 and 76 km. There are about 200 children among the participants. The oldest athlete is 73 years old. The event has been supported by 150 volunteers. 9 tonnes of water and drinks are provided for the competitors.
