“The chances of forming a government are good, provided ITN (“There Is Such a People”) take part in the negotiations on its formation,” “Democratic Bulgaria” MP Ivaylo Mirchev said for the BNR.

For the purpose there has to be a coalition agreement, so as to keep GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms away from government, and priorities and terms are set down. “And, of course, the successful ministers from the caretaker government should be invited,” he added, expressing the hope that ITN will overcome the reservations they have on this point.

However, ITN’s leader Slavi Trifonov declared, a few days ago, that the MPs from his party remain in opposition. Ivaylo Mirchev was adamant that if the third exploratory cabinet-forming mandate goes to the Bulgarian Socialist Party, then “Democratic Bulgaria” will not support a BSP-mandated government.
