The currently registered 14-day incidence of Covid-19 in the country is 265.52 per 100,000 population. In order to avoid a sharp increase in new cases, Bulgaria's state health inspector Angel Kunchev has proposed the introduction of new restrictive measures provided for in the National Plan. Among them are the suspension of all mass cultural events, the closure of museums and galleries in the country. Forums and trainings can be held outdoors, in compliance with the main anti-epidemic measures. It is also planned to ban sports events and indoor matches, mass visits to gyms and nightclubs.

The catering establishments will be able to work only outdoors between 7.00 and 22.00, providing a distance of 2 m between the chairs of the tables and the visitors are groups of up to 6 people per table. It is also proposed to introduce access control in shopping centres.
As an alternative to the measures provided for in the Plan, another possibility is indicated - 100% of the staff and visitors to have either been vaccinated, recovered from Covid-19 or with a negative PCR or a rapid antigen test, but at no more than 50% of capacity.
