"I am very sorry that I am in quarantine, because I would be happy to go and talk to the people in the square." This was stated by Bulgaria's Prime Minister Kiril Petkov regarding the protest organized by the Vazrazhdane party in front of Bulgaria's National Assembly which started at lunch today.
Petkov said he respected the right of citizens to protest, as he himself has participated in a number of demonstrations as a citizen.

"Some of the protesters do not believe in the measures, do not believe in Covid-19," he said, and offered to meet with them on Friday, when he will be out of quarantine to discuss a new model for overcoming the next wave, bTV reported.

The prime minister was adamant that the green certificate would not be revoked, but expressed concern that hospitals would not have the capacity to meet more coronavirus patients. He said that if more than 80% of intensive care beds became occupied, additional measures would have to be taken.
