Weather forecast for Tuesday, 8 February: Precipitation, wind and changeable weather

On Tuesday there will be a moderate to strong Northwesterly wind which will usher in colder air. In the mountains there will be snow, and in the lowlands – rain or wet snow. Minimum temperatures minus 2° to 3° C., for Sofia around minus 2° C. During the day the precipitation will stop from West to East, and last in the Southeastern part of the country. The clouds will disperse over Western Bulgaria and there will be occasional sun in the afternoon. In the Eastern part of the country the clouds will continue. Daytime temperatures will reach 3° to 8° C., for Sofia 4° C.

Over the Black Sea coastline there will be clouds, rain and wet snow in the morning, and a strong Northerly wind.

Over the mountains there will be a gale-force wind on the higher, open reaches of the mountains. There will be snow which will stop in the afternoon, with possible blizzards and drift. Temperatures at 1,200 m. around minus 3° C., at 2,000 m. minus 10° C.

On Wednesday the weather will continue unchanged with precipitation over the mountains in Western Bulgaria.
