On the 100th day of the war in Ukraine, the Sofia Municipality placed a 100-meter-long blue canvas in Slaveykov Square, on which citizens are able to place yellow flowers in sympathy with Ukrainian citizens.
"Sofia, as a European capital, must mark these one hundred sad days," said Deputy Mayor Miroslav Borshov, calling on the people to honor the innocent victims and express solidarity with the Ukrainian people. A bouquet of yellow flowers has already been placed by the Ukrainian ambassador Vitaly Moskalenko.
The installation will remain in the central city square until the end of the day.
