A warning for dangerous precipitation has been issued in 20 out of a total of 28 districts of Bulgaria. In the region of Smolyan a code-red warning for intense rainfalls has been issued for Friday. No dangerous phenomena are expected in just 8 eastern districts of the country.
Under the influence of a Mediterranean cyclone the weather in the country will be rainy with thunderstorms and local hails. In the western and southern regions of Bulgaria, the precipitation will be 50-60 mm, while in some places in the Rhodopes rainfalls will reach up to 80-100 mm. The highest temperatures will be range between 20 to 25 °C, in Sofia around 19°C.
