Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 22 Aug 2022

Cool weather, thunderstorms in places expected on Monday

During the next 24 hours, cumulus and cumulonibus clouds will continue to develop, there will be precipitation in more places in Western and Central Bulgaria. During the night in some areas, mainly in the North-West, and tomorrow also in the South-West and Central Bulgaria, there will be significant precipitation, accompanied by thunderstorms. In the eastern part of the country, there will be more sunny hours, but there, too, in places, mainly around and after noon, it will rain and thunder. 

Daytime temperatures will also drop in the eastern regions, as daytime highs tomorrow in most of the country will be between 25 °C and 30 °C, in Sofia - around 24 °C.

There will be more sun along the Black Sea coast, but already before noon, cumulus clouds will develop, as in the afternoon in some places it will rain and thunder. Maximum temperatures will be 27 °C-30 °C. The temperature of the sea water is 26 °C-27 °C. 

Clouds will continue to develop over the mountains in Western and Central Bulgaria. In many areas there will be short-term rainfall, in some places it will be significant, accompanied by thunderstorms. The maximum temperature at 1,200 metres will be around 20 °C, at 2,000 metres - around 14 °C.
