The Bulgarian capital holds third place in Europe in terms of opportunities for luxury wellness tourism, right after Barcelona and Zurich, according to a study by the company "OVO Network" .

The ranking takes into account the presence of restaurants rated by Michelin, 5-star hotels and luxury spas, relative to the number of tourists who visit them, as well as the level of "security and luxury" in the cities.

The research data shows that Sofia has impressive 83 spas with 4 stars or more, which means that there are 60 luxury spas per 1 million tourists. According to the study, this is more than twice the average for the cities included in the ranking.

Sofia is also one of the most desirable destinations for a luxurious stay. The Bulgarian capital occupies 10th place in the ranking of the online search engine "Google" for a destination that is associated with searching for information related to luxury.
