"Together with the leaders of Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Romania, we insist on urgent regulation of this issue and adequate support for our farmers so that it corresponds to the damage they are suffering," the president said.
Commission spokesperson Miriam Garcia Ferrer announced that Bulgaria will receive a one-off aid of 16.75 million euros because of the difficulties its producers are suffering due to grain exports from Ukraine.
