President Radev will hand over the second cabinet-forming mandate

On May 29 at 5:00 p.m., Bulgarian President Rumen Radev will hand over the second exploratory mandate for the formation of a government to the "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) coalition.

The creation of a cabinet with the new mandate and with rotating prime ministers, as previously agreed upon by PP-DB and GERB-SDS, is questionable. GERB, after a publicly released recording of a meeting of the leadership of the PP, froze the negotiations for a government. 

Acad. Nikolay Denkov, who should receive from the president the second exploratory mandate, expects the talks with GERB to resume. 

GERB called on their candidate for prime minister, Mariya Gabriel, to receive the second mandate and to form an expert government.  PP-DB do not agree and insist that the negotiations for a government continue under the already agreed conditions.
