Weather forecast: Temporary drop in temperatures, rain and snow in the mountains

During the night, after temporarily dispersing, the clouds will begin to increase from the Southwest. The Northwestern wind will subside, and in Western Bulgaria will die down. Minimum temperatures minus 1° C. to 4° C., for Sofia around minus 1° C. In parts of the lowlands of Southwestern Bulgaria there will be frost.

On Tuesday the weather will be predominantly sunny, but the clouds from the Southwest will continue to increase. By the end of the day there will be rain in Southwestern Bulgaria, the wind will turn from the East-Southeast, and in the valleys of Srtuma river and the Eastern Rhodopes will be light to moderate. Daytime temperatures will go up reaching a maximum of 14-19° C., for Sofia around 15° C. During the night there will be rain in parts of Western and Central Bulgaria, spreading to the Southeast after midnight.

Over the mountains the clouds from the Southwest will increase, and later in the day over Southwestern Bulgaria, and during the night over the rest of the country there will be rain. Above 1,800 m. there will be snow. The wind will turn from the South and will begin to pick up. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 9° C., at 2,000 m. around 1° C.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be predominantly sunny with scattered high clouds. There will be a moderate Southeasterly wind. Maximum temperatures 12-17° C., temperature of the sea water 9-10° C., sea swell 1-2.
