Bulgarian cuisine 14th in TasteAtlas European national cuisines rating

Bulgarian cuisine is ranked 14th out of all national cuisines in Europe in the prestigious TasteAtlas rankings, BNR-Varna reports. The cuisines are rated every year on the basis of points given by the website’s users. Bulgaria is given an average rating of 4.20 points. Out of the emblematic dishes for the country shopska salad is rated at 4.6 points, followed by banitsa and tarator (4.5), kavarma (4.4) and Garash cake (4.3).

In the products category, white cheese (sirene) and sharena sol spice mix come first with 4.6 points, followed by file Elena dried meat product (4.5) and Mavrud wine (4.1).

Italy, Greece and Spain are in the top 3 of the national European cuisines.
