"Angels on the Road - march against the war on Bulgaria's roads

One day before the start of the new school year 2024/2025, the association "Angels on the Road" organised a protest march with the slogan: "Stop the road deaths! Protect our children - the future of Bulgaria". 

The march will start from the National Assembly building in Sofia at 6pm. It was initiated by the parents of 15-year-old Philip Arsov, who was killed by a drunk driver on a zebra crossing in central Sofia's Gurko Street days before the start of the last school year. Philip was one of dozens of young people who have fallen victim to reckless driving on Bulgaria's roads over the past few years.
Traditionally, the school year in Bulgaria begins on 15 September, or on the next working day if it falls on a weekend.
