Perperikon, Tatul lead Wonders of Bulgaria chart

By mid-August the sites of Perperikon and Tatul in the Rhodope Mountains, Southern Bulgaria, have collected 47 percent of votes and have topped the Wonders of Bulgaria chart. Over the first half of this year some 40,000 Bulgarian and foreign tourists have visited Perperikon. The campaign seeks to single out new candidatures for Bulgaria’s tangible and intangible heritage that will run for inclusion in the UNESCO world heritage list.
