Number of refugee children arriving to Bulgaria alone increases

Bulgaria marks June 20 – World Refugee Day for the 12th year in a row. On this occasion the Child Protection Agency informs that in 2013 there is a growing number of refugee children arriving to Bulgaria alone. There are ever more cases of unaccompanied children coming from Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. During 2012 there have been 34 cases of minors coming from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Algeria, Somalia and other countries. On the other hand, since the start of 2013 the Agency has faced 72 cases of refugee children.
